Yes — AidaIDE is free forever, with no license key and no trial clock. Create a free account to download. The free tier is the complete SSH/SFTP workspace: the full IDE with 19+ languages, tabbed terminals, the dual-pane file browser, the encrypted credential vault, the LCOT command library, and OTA updates. Nothing in that list is time-limited or seat-limited.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free gives you the entire SSH, SFTP, terminal, editor, fleet toolset, and Hardware Lab (virtual HIL, Run on Device, Record, 33-board library). Pro adds the AI layer and the heavier hardware tooling on top: the AI Hierarchy Builder and Composer, the AI Code Assistant and Copilot, AI multi-agent workflows, AI Scenario / AI Fix, advanced network scans, the ONVIF/NVR Camera Manager, LCoT Templates, and priority support. Pro is an addition to Free, not an unlock of it — no free feature moves behind the paywall.

What happens if my Pro licence expires?

You fall back to the Free tier — never a lockout. Your saved devices, credentials, and settings carry over untouched; only the Pro-only features stop being available. You can install free today and add a Pro key at any point without reconfiguring anything.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The free tier needs no card and no licence key — create a free account to download. A card is only involved if you choose to buy Pro or Teams Pro.

Does Teams Pro cost more per person?

No — it's cheaper. Teams Pro is $70/month for 5 seats, which is $14 per user per month against $19 for an individual Pro licence, and it adds shared dashboards, team management, API access, and dedicated support.
