Pricing & what’s included
Is the AI Agent Hierarchy free?
No. The visual Hierarchy Builder, IC Builder, and multi-agent workflows ship in AidaIDE Pro.
The base IDE — SSH, SFTP edit-in-place, LCOT, vault, fleet manager — stays free forever with no license key.
How much does Hierarchy access cost?
Pro: $19/month or $190/year (annual plans get a 5-year price lock). That one Pro license includes the full AI suite — Hierarchy Builder, AI chat/copilot, multi-agent workflows — plus advanced scans and cameras.
Teams Pro: $70/month or $700/year for 5 seats with shared workspace sync.
Do I need a separate Hierarchy add-on on top of Pro?
No. Hierarchy is not a second SKU anymore. If you still see “AI Hierarchy add-on $12/mo” somewhere, that copy is outdated — ignore it and use current pricing.
What stays free if I never buy Pro?
- SSH / SFTP engine, tabbed terminal, dual-pane file browser
- LCOT (terminal + files stay in sync)
- Encrypted credential vault and saved sessions
- Fleet manager and OTA for unlimited devices
Pro is optional — only when you want the AI canvas and related Pro features.
Access & activation
How do I unlock the Agent Hierarchy Builder?
The Hierarchy menu is greyed out — what now?
That almost always means Pro is not active on this machine:
- Confirm the key under Help → Activate License (not expired, not revoked).
- Check device slots on your dashboard — Pro activates on up to 3 machines; revoke an old slot if needed.
- Restart AidaIDE after activation so menus refresh.

Do I need my own LLM API keys?
Yes. Pro unlocks the Builder UI; model calls use your OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama, or OpenAI-compatible keys. Keys live in the encrypted vault on your PC — AidaIDE does not sell bundled tokens.
What if Pro expires or I cancel?
Hierarchy files stay on disk. The canvas locks until you renew, but you never lose the free SSH/SFTP IDE — no lockout of your devices or vault. Renew Pro and projects reopen as you left them.
Can my team share hierarchies?
Teams Pro syncs ICs, SoCs, and full hierarchies across 5 seats. On a single Pro seat you can still export/import hierarchy files; there is just no automatic team sync.
