# AidaIDE

> AidaIDE is a free SSH + SFTP workspace for Windows (macOS and Linux in progress) that replaces PuTTY and WinSCP with one window: an AES-256 encrypted credential vault, tabbed SSH terminals, a dual-pane SFTP file browser that shares the terminal's session, edit-in-place remote file editing, and a one-click library of 800+ plain-English commands (LCOT). The full SSH/SFTP workspace is free forever with no license key. An optional Pro tier ($19/mo or $190/yr) adds an AI agent suite, advanced network scans, and camera tools; Teams Pro ($70/mo or $700/yr) adds team management. Made by Laing Labs.

- Free tier: full SSH client, SFTP browser, credential vault, terminal tabs, remote file editing - free forever, no license key, no trial clock.
- Works on Windows 10/11. Linux experimental (soft peer). The current download is 1.0.0-rc19: a signed Windows installer. A Linux experimental source tarball (`AidaIDE-1.0.0-rc19-linux.tar.gz`, unpack and run `./install.sh`) is available to try. SSH/SFTP is agentless by default — remote needs only standard SSH/SFTP; no agent install for terminal + SFTP + LCOT on a normal host (including Pi Zero where VS Code Remote cannot run). Hardware Lab Run on Device/Record may push a tiny ephemeral HIL helper (`hil_device_agent`) over SSH/SFTP for that run.
- LCOT = Local Chain of Thought — 800+ one-click commands + linked terminal/SFTP on one SSH login.
- Compared with PuTTY: adds encrypted credential storage (PuTTY cannot save passwords), tabs, integrated SFTP, and a command library.
- Compared with WinSCP: adds a real terminal on the same session, so edit config + restart service + tail logs happens in one window.
- Hardware Lab (virtual HIL, scenarios, board view / Bench A–E, Run on Device, Record) is Free/base. AI Scenario / AI Fix are Pro AI. 33-board library including Raspberry Pi, Simulation, and Generic Linux GPIO.
